Usage:
After a very fast search/scan, the user can simply select the files that needs to be recovered from the list.
Next step to select a folder to save the recovered files. Application is extremly easy to use, there are maximum 4 steps that the user must follow: select the drive, select the method of the scan, select your files from the list that you want to recover, and in the final step recovering the files.
First Test drive:
WesternDigital 1Gb space ATA (very old and slow) 15~20% bad-blocks, ext3 filesystem
Handling large amount of small files (size 0.2-2.5Mb).
Raw data recovery mode was used, time needed to find files was ~1 hour.
Data recovery at this point was a 80% success ratio, some images where unreadable.
Handling one or more larger files (689Mb cd-image), recovery has been 99% successfull.
Second Test Drive:
Seagate 320Gb SATA without bad-blocks, ext3 filesystem
Handling files on a drive with no bad-sectors.
Scan taked much less time and the recovery of smaller files (images, pictures) has a 98% success almost all files where readable, and the same was with large files.
