Relevance: 9.95
PCLinuxOS is showing us things to come for 2008 and their long awaited release. The question that comes to mind is will Windows users find it as easy to use as PCLinuxOS 2007 and will PCLinuxOS fix their update issues?

PCLinuxOS goes the extra mile

04/30/2008  I
Relevance: 9.84
Ever since my exploration of the various PCLinuxOS spins, I've been impressed with the project. Now that I'm having so much relative success with Ubuntu 8.04 LTS, it's unlikely that I will be running PCLinuxOS on my Gateway Solo 1450 laptop, but a) you never know and b) I'm looking for a good system to install for others, and PCLinuxOS is a top contender in that department.

PCLinuxOS 2009 Beta ScreenShots and Review

10/19/2008  IIIIIIII
Relevance: 8.75
Our first ScreenShot review of PCLinuxOS 2009 Beta. My first thoughts is that WoW PCLinuxOS uses the apt-get Debian utility for its package management system as well as the Control Center from Mandrake. The best of 2 worlds! Also PCLinuxOS makes sure that Java and Flash is already integrated into the standard install so that the new Linux user will not be able to say I do not know what to do when they go to there sites and are not able to load web applications.

Preview: I take the PCLinuxOS plunge

02/22/2008  IIII
Relevance: 7.86
I don't know what took me so long. After unseating Ubuntu from the No. 1 spot on Distrowatch months ago, PCLinuxOS has shown no signs of folding in the face of all things Feisty and Gutsy. Even my co-workers (OK, co-worker, in this case the Los Angeles Daily News' City Hall reporter Rick Orlov) are telling me how great PCLinuxOS is. Even Scott Ruecker, master of LXer, has sung its praises.
