The ongoing MythTV saga continues

I have good news, bad news, and worse news. The good news is that I managed to get MythTV working well enough that it now plays standard definition channels better than the cable box alone, even though it's getting its signal from the cable output of the cable box. I get this benefit because MythTV allows me to tweak various parameters that you can't change on the cable box.The bad news is that high definition channels still look worse through MythTV than they do if I watch then directly from the cable box. I don't expect to solve this problem.

Fedora 9 : Good News. Bad News.

First the good news. Fedora 9 Preview is now out -- woohoo! The bad news? Well since Fedora 9 Preview is out a little late, Red Hat has now pushed back the official release date of Fedora 9 by two weeks. The original release date for Fedora 9 was set for April 29th, the new date is now May 13th.

Prototype 8.9″ Asus EeePC Spotted at CES

Not a full day after news comes from Asus that they've got some larger screen EeePCs in works do pics of one show up online. jkkmobile hits us up with some pictures of this new model. No word on release date yet.The good news here is that the design of the screen is looking much nicer now, with an all white bezel replacing the somewhat cheap looking black speaker covers. The bad news? The resolution is still 800 x 480.
