It appears that the Gentoo Foundation may be disappearing in a matter of time. Apparently, no one has time to actually do the work required to run the Foundation. There seems to be some momentum building behind the idea of handing over all of Gentoo's intellectual property to another Foundation, so no one has to deal with running the Gentoo Foundation anymore.

With the Symbian Foundation throwing its weight behind the Eclipse Public License (EPL), the cache of that license has grown a great deal. But what prompted the foundation to go with the EPL. Was it just a total aversion to the GNU General Public License (GPL)? Well, David Rivas, vice president, S60 Software, Product and Technology Management, Devices at Nokia, which is the charter member of the Symbian Foundation, will not say that, exactly.

Linux Foundation Reports on First End User Summit

GNOME focuses on accessibility -- with a little help from Mozilla and others

The GNOME Foundation has turned its attention to accessibility for people with disabilities. To help improve both Web accessibility within GNOME and the project's long-term direction, the Mozilla Foundation is joining the GNOME advisory board, and plans to help improve integration of the XUL development platform with GNOME. Even more significantly, the GNOME Foundation, the Mozilla Foundation, Google, and Canonical are jointly sponsoring a $40,000 outreach program to help improve accessibility in GNOME.

Linux Foundation charts distros' future
