Relevance: 4.64
"Sun have been looking into re-licensing Solaris under dual license; the current CDDL and GPLv3. The idea behind this is not to scare away the current users of Solaris who use it under the CDDL, and to attract people the huge pool of Free Software users and contributors who are out there."

More On Sun's GPL Plans

11/12/2006  I
Relevance: 4.62
Sun Microsystems' move to"GPL" Java makes it the last of a number of companies to go to a hybrid licensing mode. The Santa Clara, Calif., company will continue to offer its Java technologies under their current license, but is adding the GNU General Public License as an option. That is the current GPL 2 license, not the controversial GPL 3, although that option is apparently under consideration, sources said.

Installing Sidux (Debian Sid) on Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad X61s

07/15/2007  IIII
Relevance: 4.31
Author chose Sidux since it is a nice current distro (also because of the support for current hardware), and also gets more support and testing done on it than just plain Debian Sid. Sidux is probably one of the quickest booting and running distro's available at the moment. Package management is easy and updates are frequently available.Works well on X61s.

As the SVN code being intensively and continuously developed, no wonder it's neither stable, usable nor it contains all the features planned for the final release due in late 2007. This review should be then treated as a pure experiment, 'a glance' at the current status of KDE4 development.
